Vējturu House is a place for culture and recreation. The name Vējturu House (Windholder House) itself reveals its ability to hold the wind and protect the person in the centre of the house. This nature concert hall allows you to organise outdoor events of various scales and character under open air.

Vējturu House can be used not only by the municipality, but also by the public and entrepreneurs, organising both public and private events. Vējturu House is adaptable to academic and popular music concerts, festivals, as well as weddings, corporate and other events. Everyone interested has the opportunity to realise their ideas in a unique environmental location.

Vējturu House was not built out of nothing. Its origins can be traced back to 2003, when the musician and artist Igo organised the first Jurkalne volunteer clean-up. The first sketch of the Vējturu House created by Igo is more than 10 years old. It was clear from the start that this non-standard structure would not be an easy task for the municipality, architects, designers and builders. The municipality was able to attract significant European funding, implement the project, and construction was finished at the end of 2019.
