On Saturday, 29 April at 11:00 in the assembly hall of Ventspils State Gymnasium No.1, the Ventspils Choir Repertoire Rehearsal Showcase will take place. Women’s choirs “Venda” and “Lība”, mixed choirs “Ventspils”, “Līvzeme”, “Kaiva” and “Cantabile”, senior women’s choir “Ziemeļzvaigzne” will take part.
All over Latvia, almost 16 000 singers from 444 choirs are preparing for the XXVII Nationwide Latvian Song and XVII Dance Festival. The singers’ performance will be judged by experts from the jury – artistic directors of the grand choir concert “Tīrums. Dziesmas ceļš” (Field. Song Path) and final concert “Kopā Augšup” (Together Up), Chief Conductors and Honorary Chief Conductors of the Song Festival.
