On June 21, jurkalne Fire Meadow will have the opportunity to experience the magic of the solstice – firewheel and firemill, traditions, rituals, songs and dances. At 20:00 in leagues folklore groups of Ventspils region, visitors of the event will also have the opportunity to participate in solstice workshops and master classes. When At 21.00 there will be a kindled big bonfire, people will go to the sea. As the sun goes down, a firewheel will roll from the bluff to the accompaniment of “Suitu dūdenieku”. Then at 23:00 a poodle will burn in the fire meadow, the ecological music group “Ducele” will perform. At midnight, a firemill will be cut, and the night of the magical solstice will be concluded by dances with the chapel “Strops”.
