The 21.45 ha Mežaparks and the “Fantāzija” children’s park included in its territory were planned and built in 2002-2006, simultaneously with the construction of the railway junction “Jūras Parks”. The pine forest area adjacent to the residential building was landscaped with gravel pavement paths, places for active and passive recreation, lighting.
In order for small ventspils residents and guests of the city to have fun in Pārventa also in a well-maintained playground – in June 2023, 8 new play equipment with a group of elements of obstacles and climbing nets, designed for children starting from 3 years, was installed on the Mežaparks Jungle Trail.
In order to guarantee the safety of equipment and its compliance with modern standards, a certified inspection of playground equipment was carried out on the Mežaparks Jungle Trail, receiving a certificate of compliance of the equipment with safety requirements.
