Language is one of the basic values of a country, nationality and consciousness. For us, it is the Latvian language. In order to pay special tribute to the Latvian language as the only national language in Latvia, 15 October 2021 was proclaimed as the National Language Day. This date was chosen because on 15 October 1998 the Latvian language was enshrined in the Constitution as the official language of the country.
Admission is free is charge.
The event is organised by the Ventspils Culture Centre and supported by the Ventspils State City Municipality.
