Latvia’s forests, rivers, lakes, sea, marshes, meadows, and other natural areas are open to all who can appreciate their content and beauty and respect their right to exist.
The Code of Ethics for Nature Tourists is intended as a guide for everyone—travelers, nature watchers, explorers, holidaymakers, berry pickers, mushroom pickers, and active or passive recreation enthusiasts—who venture into nature. Our common goal is to protect and preserve the values of nature for the future, including both still and living nature, habitats, landscapes, and the environment created by the interaction between man and nature.
