Visitors will have the opportunity to:
• get to know different mushroom species,
• talk to members of the Mycological Society and ask questions,
• shop at the themed mushroom market,
• buy Lithuanian cepelinai, which will be prepared during the festival by partners from Lithuania (you will be able to buy both traditional cepelinai and mushroom-filled ones),
Members of the mycology association will introduce children to the 2024 project “Mushroom Basket.”
Children will have the opportunity to interact with everything in the basket, including magnifying glasses for identifying mushrooms, microscopes, a mushroom alphabet, mushroom species games, 3D mushroom structure puzzles, and short TikTok-style films about mushrooms projected to spark their interest in mushroom foraging.
There will also be a small relaxation/café area where event visitors can purchase traditional mushroom soup from the Ziru Parish and enjoy instrumental music throughout the day (piano performance by Vanesa Līga Rozentāle).
