Lambert is a pianist and composer from Germany. His visual stage presence is mysteriously poetic, which makes his meditative, impressionistic piano playing—a blend of classical, jazz, and pop music—seem even more distant and enchanting.
Lambert is unique not only because he performs wearing a leather mask made in Sardinia, which means no audience member has seen his face. The music he creates breaks conventional listening habits; it requires time, rest, patience, and concentration to immerse oneself in it, like sinking into a pile of soft pillows.
At the concert in Ventspils, Lambert will perform alongside Luka Marinī (drums) and Felix Weight (double bass). This will be the musicians’ first visit to Latvia, where they will perform their most well-known pieces.
