Ventspils University of Applied Sciences (VeA) Faculty of Translation Studies invites high school students and language teachers to the event – the Young Translators’ School, which will take place on February 13 at Ventspils University of Applied Sciences. Students will have the opportunity to participate in exciting workshops, explore the VeA premises, and meet with faculty members and students, while teachers are offered a professional development day, participating in workshops and discussing current trends in language learning.

High school students will have the opportunity to explore the world of languages and discover its diversity, as well as gain new knowledge that will be useful both in their studies and in exams. The faculty members of VeA will lead engaging workshops.

  • The Alchemy of Oral Translation: How to Change Words While Preserving Meaning. (Lect. Zane France)

Students will also have the opportunity to meet with Translation Faculty students and explore the VeA premises.

Language teachers are invited to participate in workshops and engage in discussions with university lecturers, sharing experiences and discussing current trends in language learning. During the Young Translators’ School, practical tips will also be provided, which will be useful when working with students..
