Actors Andris Bērziņš, Edgars Pujāts, and Imants Strads come together for the concert program “Naughty Jokes and Songs.” As the artists promise, the performances will be filled with spicy jokes from real life, engaging conversations with the audience, and discussions about the works of the well-known Danish cartoonist Herluf Bidstrup (1912–1988), who is also popular in Latvia.
For the musical part of the concert, the gentlemen have chosen several well-known songs, including “The Song About Hares” (from the film The Diamond Arm), the heartfelt “Oh, Trīnīt, My Heart’s Flower” once performed by the legendary actor Ēvalds Valters, “Where Is My Airplane” from Prāta Vētra’s repertoire, as well as songs from Čikāgas Piecīši, such as “Three Old Ladies” and “Shoemaker’s Apprentices.” The program will also feature “Money” from Brāļi Laivinieki and many more musical pieces.

“The whole life is full of humor, jokes, and misunderstandings—whether it’s about doctors, women, or money. The modern world is built in such a way that the only way to survive is by joking. I see life as a theater performance, full of humor! The humor lies in the fact that I’m still alive at all! And, in general, I’m not like everyone else. What has helped me survive is that, from the moment I wake up, I smile and sing. With a song through life! Smile, sing, joke, and see this world as a great comedy; otherwise, life will be the one laughing at you. Let laugh lines enhance your beauty, and let humor restore your health!” says actor Andris Bērziņš, inviting everyone to the concert performance.
