Location of the new “Umbrella” fountain – at the intersection of Ganibu – Juras – Kuldigas Street is like a supplement and continuation of the two existing “Whale” and “Sun Boats” fountains.
The surrounding streets with their traffic and small leisure island between them symbolically ask to stop your daily run and rest for a while, by watching the propped up dripping umbrella.
“Umbrella” is planned to be a symbol providing safety, protection and unity! Creates safety for public, protection for two lovers, a game for small children who can hide from their parents.
The improved Newspaper Alley is enticing to arrange a meeting here just to continue with your daily business after a while!
