Rest area “Buki” started its operation in 2009. It is a nice, quiet place for relaxation near Ventspils, where you can enjoy the peace of the Latvian countryside. The territory of the recreation area is well-developed and offers fishing in the backyard pond, sports activities such as volleyball and basketball, as well as attractions for children such as trampolines and swings, as well as a Mini Zoo with many different representatives of the fauna.
Rest area “Buki” is located in Ventspils district, Vārves parish, in the Baltic Sea coastal protection zone.
You can get to the rest area by driving along the highway Ventspils – Kuldīga. Driving from the direction of Ventspils, in the sixth kilometer there is a road with the sign – Rest area “Buki” 700 m.
