I especially love to guide tours in German and I know that visitors from Germany appreciate it: they can hear my narration about our city and country in their native language, and often this allows them to start loving our country like I do.
I was born in Kurzeme; however, my roots are in Latgale, and this is why the Latgalian language is dear to me: when there are guests from Latgale, I take the chance of both listening to the sounds of this language and exercising my Latgalian.
