On November 20 at 7:00 PM, the dance show “Georgia’s Fire” will take place at the theater house “Jūras vārti” performed by the Georgian Royal National Ballet. Artistic directors – Gela Pochishvili and Maia Kiknadze, choreographer – Gela Pochishvili.

“The Fire of Georgia” is an impressive dance show that allows you to connect with the primordial Georgian culture and immerse yourself in the enchanting world of dance. It is a vibrant performance featuring astonishing technique, Caucasian rhythms, dynamic and refined movements, a passionate presentation, and dances with daggers and swords – an unforgettable journey through ancient Georgia. This production is not merely a collection of individual dance pieces but a cohesive performance united by a common idea and storyline.

“I find it hard to imagine that anyone who has seen authentic Georgian folk dances would not derive true enjoyment from them!” says the artistic director and principal choreographer, Gela Pochishvili.


The Georgian Royal National Ballet was founded by choreographers Gela Pochishvili and Maia Kiknadze in 2008 to nurture and preserve the traditions of Georgian national dance. The ensemble stands out for its high professional level and innovative approach. The theater’s artists continuously collect and study authentic national dances, seeking new contemporary choreographic solutions, presenting either stage miniatures or grand productions that illustrate the heritage of Georgian culture. Over 40 million people across 80 countries have applauded the dancers, who captivate audiences with their excellent technique, unique artistry, and flawless expression, all hallmarks of Georgian dance.
