On May 13, Ventspils will host the fifteenth edition of the Pārventa Festival, which will open with a grand parade from the Pārventa Primary School to Sports Hall “Pārventa”. The concert will feature students from general education schools, as well as special guests – the popular singer Intars Busulis and the orchestra “Abonementa orķestris”. Creative workshops for children, cafés, attractions and general fun in the centre of Pārventa.
In the morning, a musical train will greet the inhabitants of Pārventa in the streets. At 12.00, students and teachers of Ventspils Primary School No.3 and Pārventa Primary School, as well as pre-school students and their parents, and also municipal institutions and businesses will take part in the procession. The festive procession will be accompanied by Wind Orchestra “Ventspils” and the Ventspils Drum Band. Gathering for the procession will take place in the yard of Pārventa Primary School and it’s route will go from Pārventa Primary School, walking along Tārgales Street, ending in the square in front of Sports Hall “Pārventa”.
From 12.30, the big stage will host a concert featuring carefully prepared performances by the young students of the pre-school educational institutions of Pārventa, musical programmes by schoolchildren and a musical greeting by the event’s host Edvards Grieze. The special occasion of the half-round anniversary will be marked by a concert by singer Intars Busulis and the orchestra “Abonementa orķestris”, starting at 14.00. 14.00.
During the event, cafés will be open, children will have the opportunity to discover their talents in various activities and workshops, and the Pārventa Library will invite everyone to its creative workshops and the educational orienteering game “Pārventa Detective”.
The most athletic families and sports friends will have fun and exciting relay races on the football field of the Sports Hall “Pārventa”.
At 17:00, the Festival will close with a concert at Pārventa Library with the mixed choir “Līvzeme” and students of Ventspils Music High School.
