Helena and her family arrive at her dead father’s entomologist summer house, where she has not been since childhood. Her dictatorial, overbearing husband, Rihards, a university lecturer, and their two children help renovate the house so that Helena can teach dance lessons and resume her career as a choreographer. A holiday spent working together turns into a nightmare when the family discovers that the house is full of insects. The fight with them turns into a fight between the family members and each other, and the tension this creates brings to the surface a family tragedy that has happened before. But an unexpected turn of events becomes a harsh incentive to overcome mutual resentments and save family ties.
