The group “Menuets” invites you to its anniversary concerts!
The group “Menuets” is one of the most famous Latvian rock groups, which became popular as a performer of the music of the composer Imantas Kalniņas, and currently “Menuets” is the oldest still performing group in Latvia. The group’s first performance took place in 1968, when six Jūrmala schoolchildren got together, when the brothers Sējāni and Bartašević started joint rehearsals in rock music together with their like-minded friends, so “Minuet” will celebrate its golden 55 years in the summer and autumn of 2023 by relaxing, moving and inviting you to sing together from all over the world. heart. In the jubilee concert program in the summer and autumn of 2023, the most beautiful and popular “Minuet” songs of all time, written by Imants Kalniņš, will be played: “They danced one summer”, “Tin soldiers”, “Voice of the Cuckoo”, “Ballad of Johan”, ” The song with which you started”, “Four white shirts”, “Viņi dejoja đenu vasaru”, etc., as well as the group’s early songs written by Adrians Kukuvass, Juris Sējāns and Juris Kulakovs.
Inese Pabērza, Adrians Kukuvass, Baiba Jagere, Normunds Puriņš, Juris Sējāns, Leons Sējāns, Raimonds Bartasevics and Ikars Rungis still play music in the group “Menuets”.
