On Sunday, April 6th, all nature enthusiasts are invited to a birdhouse-making workshop at 11.00 in the Children’s Town and at At 3:00 PM in the children’s park “Fantāzija,” participants will be entertained by the comedian Ufo, while the pop group “Jūras akmentiņi” will perform their special program “Bird Songs.”
The birdhouse-making workshop is undoubtedly the favorite spring event for Ventspils’ youngest residents. We invite everyone—young and old, experts and beginners—to join us! Even if you don’t know how to build a birdhouse, don’t worry—everything you need will be available on-site, including instructions, wood materials, saws, hammers, nails, pencils, measuring tapes, and other tools.
Since the number of tools available on-site will be limited, we encourage participants to bring their own. Sometimes, using your favorite hammer or saw makes the work go even smoother!
We will be creating new homes for birds such as starlings, tits, and sparrows. The completed birdhouses can be taken home and placed in your own garden or handed over to municipal workers, who will later install them in one of the city’s parks—Jūrmalas Park, Reņķa Garden, or the Būšnieku Lake area.
The event is organized by the Ventspils Culture Center and Ventspils Municipal Administration, with the support of the Ventspils City Municipality.
