On Sunday, March 2nd, at 2:00 PM, we invite you to a heartfelt concert “Baltie stāsti” at the Ventspils Cultural Center. The concert program will feature songs by various Latvian composers performed by choirs, with a special focus on the works of Maestro Raimonds Pauls. We will also enjoy performances by an instrumental ensemble and a dance troupe.
The concert will feature the mixed choir “Līvzeme” under the direction of Astra Plostniece and the mixed choir “Kandava” conducted by Rūdolfs Bacāns. The choirs have prepared a diverse repertoire, blending the music of Latvian composers with Raimonds Pauls’ legendary melodies, which will serve as a reminder of the Maestro’s contribution to our culture.
The program will also be enriched by the instrumental ensemble “Intro”, led by Sergejs Somiks. The ensemble will perform both themes composed and arranged by Sergejs himself, as well as jazz standards and, of course, works by Raimonds Pauls.
Meanwhile, the folk dance ensemble “Liedags”, led by Inga Liepiņa, will delight the audience with a dance performance that takes them on a true journey of joy, showcasing lively and cheerful dances.
