The band “bet bet” set a unique record in 2023 by performing 12 concerts in a single concert hall with their program “At Christmas.” Now, it’s time to present this highly sought-after program to a broader audience! The concert program features seasonal hits such as “Nakts,” “Circenīša Ziemassvētki,” “Ticot, mīlot un gaidot,” “Eglīte,” “Ziemassvētki,” “Burvīga nakts,” “Vēl viens gads ir beidzies,” and many other songs that create a fitting atmosphere for the winter season and bring warm feelings. All songs have been newly arranged, and the performance will be complemented by visual video projections.
A special guest at the concert will be Georgs Rukmanis-Počs, a second-grade student at the Riga Cathedral Choir School and a member of the children’s vocal group “Dzeguzīte.” His participation in the already performed concerts of the program was met with thunderous ovations from the audience! Georgs’ original song, “Gliemezītis,” is a highlight on its own, not to mention his duets with Zigfrīds Muktupāvels!
Before and after the concert, attendees will have the opportunity to purchase a collection of sheet music featuring 60 songs by the band, the band’s CD albums, and some of Guntars Račs’ most popular books, including the latest releases from the “365” poetry series, the Christmas poetry booklet “Reiz Ziemassvētkos”, and the “Golden Selection” of Christmas songs and poems. This collection includes classic works by Poruks, Rainis, Ziemeļnieks, Ziedonis, and Vācietis, as well as folk songs, rhymes, and lyrics.
Especially for these concerts, the band’s highly sought-after Christmas CD album “Burvīga nakts” is available once again after many years. This album, recorded with the Jāzeps Mediņš Music School Boys’ Choir, features timeless Christmas classics and original songs, many of which will also be performed during the upcoming concerts.
