On January 18, at the “Latvija” Concert Hall, we will experience a special evening filled with brilliant talent, artistic passion, and familial strength. Three of our brightest stars – violinist Kristīne Balanas, cellist Margarita Balanas, and violinist Roberts Balanas – will come together in one concert. These internationally acclaimed musicians will unite for a unique concert program in Ventspils, dazzling audiences with their extraordinary achievements on stages worldwide.
Violinist Kristīne Balanas is one of the fastest-rising talents on the global stage and a laureate of Latvia’s prestigious Grand Music Award in the “Young Artist of the Year” category. A graduate of the Royal Academy of Music in London with distinction, Kristīne Balanas performs with renowned orchestras and conductors worldwide, captivating audiences with her exceptional artistry.
Margarita Balanas is a dynamic and passionate musician of the new generation, excelling as a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestra conductor. Following her dazzling debut at Wigmore Hall at the age of seventeen, Margarita has performed in many prestigious concert halls alongside numerous prominent musicians and orchestras. She is a laureate of several international competitions, a recipient of scholarships from various foundations, and has been nominated for the Grand Music Award in the “Young Musician of the Year” category.”.
Violinist Roberts Balanas, known for his eclectic artistic taste and virtuosity, has a wide range of musical interests and a mission to break down boundaries between different musical genres. Combining classical melodies with the sounds of pop, rock, and funk, his solo violin arrangements have garnered millions of views online. His arrangement of Elton John’s “I’m Still Standing” received high praise from the legendary artist himself. Debuting at the Royal Festival Hall and Wigmore Hall in London at the age of 16, Roberts Balanas continues to perform actively across the UK, Europe, and Asia.
