On March 9 at 2:00 p.m., the Ventspils Culture Center and Ventspils Region folk dance collectives will hold a concert titled “Hands Were Never Afraid of Labor” at the Jūras vārti Theater. The event will bring together folk dance enthusiasts and dancers from various collectives to celebrate Latvian folk dance traditions and craftsmanship.
The concert will feature dance groups from the Ventspils Culture Center – the middle-generation and youth dance groups of the dance ensemble “Liedags”, the middle-generation dance group “Kurzeme”, the senior dance group “SenKurzeme”, as well as the youth dance group “Strautuguns” and the middle-generation dance group “Strautuguns” of the Ventspils Culture Center and Ventspils University of Applied Sciences.
The event will also feature groups from Ventspils region: Tārgale Parish Middle Generation Dance Group “Tārgale”, Vārve Parish Middle Generation Dance Group “Vāruve”, Usma Community Center Middle Generation Dance Group “Usma”, Ance Culture Center Middle Generation Dance Group “Ance” and Ance Culture Center Senior Dance Group.
