David Chevallier Trio and Anett Tamm (France, Estonia)
David Chevallier has been a prominent figure on the French creative jazz scene for many years. The trio he formed in 2013, featuring bassist Sébastien Boisseau and drummer Christophe Lavergne, has become an internationally recognized and sought-after jazz ensemble. After a successful tour in August 2021, the David Chevallier Trio returns to Latvia, this time with the talented Estonian jazz vocalist Anett Tamm, one of the most promising artists on the Estonian jazz scene.
Their new acoustic jazz program, titled Borders, was created by French composer and guitarist David Chevallier in collaboration with Anett Tamm. The central theme of the program is the concept of “border”—a place where one can transition from one universe to another, from one culture to another, and where encounters with the unknown and the unfamiliar take place.
Anett Tamm : voice, lyrics, electric guitar
David Chevallier : hybrid guitar, compositions
Sébastien Boisseau : acoustic bass
Christophe Lavergne : drums
The concert is supported by the French Institute in Latvia, AJC, Adami, CNM, Spedidam, and the French Institute in the city of Nantes.
