The Ventspils Science Centre VIZIUM invites families to bid farewell to the summer season by participating in entertaining and engaging family competition that will put to test both the logical thinking and agility of the participants. In the evening, on the other hand, everyone is welcome to enjoy a musical performance by Amanda Maržecka and special ambience of an outdoor cinema, together watching the film “The Little Prince”. All activities are free of charge.
The event will take place on Saturday, 31 August, at the Science Centre VIZIUM. “Family Day” programme:
12:00–16:30 – Engaging family competition involving tricky tasks and fun activities.
12:00–14:00 – Registration at the VIZIUM ticket office, with teams of up to 6 people. Each team receives a map, instructions, and a task sheet.
Until 16:00, the families complete the tasks. The order of checkpoints is not important. At each checkpoint, participants earn points, which organisers will tally at the end of the event. Participants will receive a sticker on their task sheet for each completed task. Tasks are designed to take around 2 hours, so they can be completed at a leisurely pace, allowing time for breaks.
16:30 – “Family Day” awards ceremony on the VIZIUM terrace.
17:00 – Concert on the VIZIUM terrace. Musical performance by Amanda Maržecka, Roberts Nejs, and Oskars Nejs.
19:00 – Movie night on the big screen on the lawn by the VIZIUM terrace. Film “The Little Prince”. Please bring your own blankets and mosquito repellent for a cozy movie night atmosphere. All “Family Day” activities are free of charge.
The event is financially supported by the Society Integration Fund within the project “Technology Unites”.
