These are the words from the title song of the Christmas concert “Rejoice, Stars,” created by the well-known singer and composer Niks Matvejevs. The song beautifully captures this unforgettable time of change, making us reflect, look to the stars more than ever, pray, seek, hope, and love. Music has always been something that helps in difficult times, something that can heal, support, and bring joy.
This Christmas program is a tribute to our collective mother – the EARTH!
The concert will feature Rolands Beļēvičs (keys), Norberts Skraucis (bass), Ingus Feldmanis (guitar), Andris Buiķis (drums), Līga Robežniece (vocals), Jegors Kovaikovs (guitar).
In the concert, you will hear both well-known and never-before-heard compositions by Raimonds Pauls and Niks Matvejevs, as well as songs by Imants Kalniņš, Jānis Lūsēns, Uldis Marhilēvičs, and Ingus Feldmanis. There will also be songs from Marija’s latest album “On the Bridge of Illusion,” along with new original compositions.
