On Saturday, April 12, at the “Latvija” concert hall, the world premiere of composer Bernat Vivancos’ work “Responsories for Holy Week” will take place, performed by the Latvian Radio Choir under the direction of conductor Sigvards Kļava.

Bernat Vivancos has achieved significant recognition in Spain as a composer, organist, and accomplished pianist. He has also gained prominence as the leader of the prestigious Montserrat Monastery Boys’ Choir and as a composition instructor at the Barcelona Conservatory. His music, imbued with timeless peace and beauty, is often described by critics as emotionally profound and refined. His works are considered meditative “masterpieces of sound textures,” aiming to establish a deep emotional connection with the listener.
