Latin and swing rhythms, French chanson, hip-hop, jazz, and choir music, all presented in a slightly unconventional sound, performed by an excellent and professional creative team in the new musical “ZUM ZUM”.
The musical “ZUM ZUM” was created by a collaboration of composers Laura Polence and Raimonds Petrauskis. The story was crafted by Edgars Niklasons and Annija Putniņa, with lyrics by Andris Akmentiņš and Raimonds Petrauskis. The production was supported by the State Culture Capital Foundation (SCCF).
At the heart of the story is conductor Agris (played by musician Andris Ābelīte), who, along with his chamber music choir, sets out on a journey towards triumph in the World’s Best Choir Competition in Paris. Will the choir experience its hour of glory?
