Astrid Lindgren’s Emil of Lönneberga has been known to many generations of readers and viewers in Sweden, who have been able to enjoy the author’s wonderful books for over 60 years, as well as the exciting and adventure-filled musical performance Emil of Lönneberga, created by Elina Sandelius and Mats Sandelius, with songs composed by George Riedel and Fredrik Åkerblom, and the lyrics written by Astrid Lindgren herself. The incredibly exciting pranks of Emil are also well known to Latvian readers and viewers, thanks to the many Latvian translations of the books and, of course, the legendary film by the film director Varis Brasla.

The Latvian Youth Theatre offers Latvian audiences the opportunity to watch the legendary Swedish musical performance for the whole family, Emil’s Mischief, in Latvian for the first time! The director of the performance is Laila Kirmuška, the librettists are Elina and Mats Sandelius, the composers are George Riedel and Fredrik Åkerblom, the lyricist is Astrid Lindgren, and the producer is Juris Millers.

In the roles – Edgars Lipors, Aija Dzērve, Jānis Kirmuška, Laila Kirmuška, Zane Vaļicka, Sandija Misika, Māris Skrodis, and others.

The performance is in two acts, with an approximate duration of 2 hours. Tickets must be purchased for each attendee, regardless of age. The performance is intended for viewers from 5 years old.

The production is based on the license issued by “Nordiska ApS” (Copenhagen).
