In the courtyard of Ventspils Amatu House (Skolas Street 3), from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM, a Pottery Throwing Competition will take place.
Men and women will compete for the title of the most skilled potter by attempting to throw the straightest and tallest cylinder and bowl from 6kg – 7kg of clay. Additionally, there will be a special competition category for creating a replica of an item from the collection of the Ventspils Seaside Open-Air Museum. The competition will be judged by experienced ceramists Māris Grosbahs and Ainārs Rimicāns, along with Baiba Korše, the curator of the Seaside Open-Air Museum’s collection.
