Choreographers Gela Pochishvili and Maia Kiknadze founded the National Royal Ballet in 2008. The ensemble preserves the traditions of Georgian national dance, at the same time it is distinguished by both innovation and high professional level. More than 40 million people in 80 countries have applauded the dancers, who amaze the audience with excellent performance technique, unique artistry and perfect expression, characteristic of Georgian dances. “It is hard for me to imagine that someone who has seen real Georgian folk dances will not get real pleasure from them!” says artistic director and principal ballet master Gela Pochishvili.
