On Friday, January 17th, at 7:00 PM, the first Jazz Club Music Evening will take place in the Small Hall of the “Latvija” Concert Hall. The usual rows of seats will be replaced with tables, allowing guests to enjoy the music accompanied by drinks and snacks.
The Ventspils Big Band jam sessions have become a cherished tradition in Ventspils’ cultural scene, featuring both Latvian and international soloists and musical ensembles over the years. This season, the Ventspils Big Band, led by Renārs Lācis, invites you to jazz evenings in a new format. Traditional seating will be replaced with tables, allowing guests to purchase drinks and snacks, while the second part of the evening will feature jam sessions.
At the first Jazz Club event, soloists Ance Jankovska and Sabīne Mustermane will join the Ventspils Big Band on stage. “The audience will have the opportunity to enjoy not only outstanding music but also a more relaxed and intimate atmosphere. The concert will take place in a more open setting, where visitors can savor refreshing drinks and snacks, transforming the Small Hall into a true jazz club – a place where music, conversation, and great company blend seamlessly,” says Renārs Lācis with confidence.
Snacks and drinks at the Jazz Club will be provided by the cocktail bar “Silrak,” and the ticket price includes a complimentary treat from the bar. Bringing your own food and drinks to the event is not allowed.
The Ventspils Jazz Club event is organized by SIA “Kurzemes Filharmonija” with the support of the Ventspils City Municipality and the State Culture Capital Foundation. Tickets are available at the “Latvija” Concert Hall box office, all “Biļešu Paradīze” outlets, and online.
