On 18 March at 17.00, the theatre house “Jūras vārti” will host a folk dance concert “Zeme zeļ, zeme plaukst”, where Ventspils middle generation folk dance group “Strautuguns” has invited friends from different parts of Latvia to join them in a joint dance programme.
The concert will be joined by the Ventspils University College youth folk dance group “Strautuguns”, Lielvārde Culture House youth dance group “Pūpolītis”, Druva Secondary School youth dance group “Puzurs”, Lielvārde Culture House middle generation dance group “Vēji”, Jaunpils Culture House middle generation dance group “Jaunpils” and Saldus Parish Druva Culture Centre dance group “Druvas seniori”.
Middle generation folk dance group “Strautuguns” started its activity in 2012. Last April, a test workshop for the XVII Dance Festival’s dance performance “Mūžīgais dzinējs” (The Eternal Engine) took place in Roja, where the group was nominated to take part in the closing concert of the XXVII General Song Festival “Kopā augšup” (Up Together) at the Mezaparks’ Grand Stage. This is a special achievement, as Ventspils dance groups have not been nominated for this programme in the last two decades.
We are proud of our team and we look forward to seeing you at the dance events in Ventspils!
Ticket price: EUR 5.00.
Tickets are available on presale at all ticket offices of Biļešu paradīze and online.
