On 29 – 30 July, in Ventspils, at Ventspils Creativity House at Maiznieku Street 11, the Latvian Rapid Chess Championship will take place, which will also be the traditional memorial tournament of the chess coach Juris Neimanis, participated by 50 chess players.
During the tournament, 11 rounds of rapid chess games with the thinking time of 12 minutes per game plus 5 seconds per move will be played. On Saturday, 29 July, six rounds will be played. The registration starts at 11.00, and the games will start at 12.00. Whereas on Sunday the remaining five rounds will be played starting from 11.00. The tournament closing and awarding ceremony is planned at 15.30. 15.30.
