This year, instead of the annual Autumn/Winter Tourism Newspaper, the Ventspils Tourism Information Centre has published a new Autumn/Winter Ventspils Tourism Guide. The new guide is out to tell everyone about major events, new tourism attractions and offers.
The new tourist guide contains information about the biggest events of this year to take place in our cultural venues: Concert Hall ‘Latvija’, Ventspils Culture Centre, theatre house ‘Jūras vārti’, as well as about open-air events.
Everyone who plan to visit Ventspils in autumn and winter will find a wide and varied offer in our guide! We have highlighted the tourist attractions where discounts are in place if you have a “3+ Family Card” or pay with vents. In addition, we offer readers to go their own way to find a special offer.
Those who are passionate about the cultural life of Ventspils are invited not only to enjoy events in the Concert Hall ‘Latvija’, but also to get behind the scenes of the concert hall. Guided tours that give you a chance of getting behind the scenes of the Concert Hall ‘Latvija’ are organised individually.
The offers by the Seaside Open-Air Museum, Castle of the Livonian Order and House of Crafts will help to look closer at the history of Ventspils, as well as to stay informed about upcoming events.
In our Adventure Park you can try yourself and discover adrenaline sensation in our new all-season Toboggan Run. Lovers of winter fun are welcome on the ski hill ‘Lemberga hūte’ and on the Skating Rink of the Ice Hall. Our Water Amusement Park is open for everyone who wants to warm up in the cold weather and have a fun day.
Check out the ‘News’ section of the guide to know more about the services provided in the new Kurzeme Rehabilitation Centre and the recently opened GÄlinciems Multifunctional Centre, and about the invitation to wait for your first meeting with your baby in the Maternity Department of the Ventspils North Kurzeme Regional Hospital.
If you want to plan your time conveniently and take a quick tour around Ventspils, we offer to check out our route titled TOP 7 OR 8 HOURS IN VENTSPILS at the end of the guide.
There, you will also find a call to achieve, get and use Ventspils currency – Vents – that can be spent in places of attraction around the city. Using vents, you can get up to 50% discount in approximately 40 places of recreation, sightseeing, and entertainment in Ventspils.
The new Ventspils tourism guide is published in three language – Latvian, Russian and Lithuanian and its overall print-run is 180000 copies. The tourism guide is available at the Tourism Information Centre and at touristic places around the city. In addition, readers of various newspapers will get a printed version of the Ventspils tourism guide as a free supplement inside Latvian-language newspapers Diena and Kurzemes vārds, as well as in the magazines Ieva and Privātā dzīve. The supplement is also available in the Russian-language newspapers Суббота, Сегодня Неделя and MK Latvija and in the Lithuanian newspaper Lietuvas Rytas.
The guide is also available online and can be downloaded here.
