The solo exhibition “Be Happy Today” by the local artist Ludmila Rimšāne will be on display in the gallery “Žagata” by the end of the February. The exhibition features landscapes, flowers, animals, portraits, still life, and cityscapes.
The paintings were created over the period of six years in different genres and techniques, including watercolour, pastel, watercolour graphics, and decorative watercolour. The exhibition will be complemented by 2 small catalogues of paintings depicting the very first works of the painter, and also art course folders with sketches.
The author herself says, ‘We are surrounded by so many beautiful moments! They are fleeting, elusive, and unstoppable, unless they are captured in a painting. Therefore, I want to draw everything! Perhaps, that’s the reason behind such variety. Through my paintings I want to say, ‘Live and be happy now, today, tomorrow… .’’
The exhibition “Be Happy Today” is on display in the gallery “Žagata” at Pils iela 17 in Ventspils by 28 February, from Monday to Friday from 10:00 AM to 5:30 PM and on Saturday from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
