This year, the All-Latvia Festival will be held on September 14th at 11:00 AM in the Adventure Park, where Latvia’s largest gathering of Nordic walkers – the 15th All-Latvia Nordic Walking Festival – will take place. Given that this is a jubilee year, the organizers have prepared several pleasant surprises.
This year, the route has been changed, with the start and finish zones located in the Adventure Park. The route will lead along pedestrian paths through the Seaside Park and around the Open-Air Museum, where the reconstruction of the service building has been completed this year. As a treat, the route includes a section along the Baltic Sea, and on the way back, participants will be able to enjoy the Ventspils city bike paths parallel to the Narrow Gauge Railway track.
Participants can complete a 7 km loop with various types of surfaces, including hard pavement, gravel, and Baltic Sea coastal sand.
The top six fastest men and women will be awarded in the overall group.
If you register by September 13, 2024, there is no participation fee. However, if you register on the day of the event, September 14th, at the venue, the participation fee will be 5.00 EUR.
All those interested in participating in the Nordic walking event are invited to register on the registration system at racetiming.lv.
Walking with friends and colleagues is more fun, so don’t stand aside – register your team for the festival. The largest teams will receive surprise prizes.
Before the event, it will be possible to learn Nordic walking techniques. After the competition, participants will be able to enjoy a concert program and have a hearty soup, as well as a celebratory cake after the awards ceremony.
As a tradition, every finisher will receive a specially designed hat as a token of participation in the 15th All-Latvia Nordic Walking Festival, which has now become one of the main traditions of the Nordic walking festival.
