On 12 August at 11:00, the 14th All-Latvian Nordic Walking Festival in Ventspils will start from the Adventure Park and continue along the streets of Ventspils, therefore the following streets will be closed to vehicular traffic:
2023. On 12 August 2023 from 10:30 to 13:00 along the Race Course: Start at the Adventure Park – Saules Street – Pētera Street – Ganību Street – Jūras Street – Kuldīgas Street – Lielais prospekts – Ganību Street – Pāvila Street – Kuldīgas Street – Bērzu Street – Ganību Street – Krustkalnu Street – Finish at the Adventure Park.
Exit from the closed block between Saules – Pētera – Ganību – Pāvila – Kuldīgas – Bērzu – Ganību – Riņķa Streets will be possible via Inženieru Street.
Public transport in the city will be limited, so buses may be delayed. On some routes, traffic movement will be changed. For more information, please call the Transport Department of PSIA “Ventspils Reiss” at 63622412.
The event is co-financed by the EU Project No 9.2.4.2./16/I/103 “Measures for the Promotion of Public Health and Disease Prevention in Ventspils”. The aim of the Project is to promote a change in public health behaviour by improving access to health promotion and disease prevention services for the population. Project activities include promoting physical activity, healthy eating, mental health and public awareness. Project activities include promotion and popularization of physical activities, healthy nutrition, mental health in society.
