Midsummer 2025 in Latvia comes with a brand new production of “Skroderdienas Silmačos”, which will explore how this play has become a phenomenon, the lyrics of which every self-respecting Latvian knows by heart. With true respect and love for traditions, let us study and search for that special code that instantly recalls the smell of herbal wreaths, the taste of Midsummer cheese and the chatter of the people, which quietly grows into a common song – “Skroderu dienas Silmačos sākvās, Dūdars un Zāra, un mašīnas klāt…” .
